Another Great Homecooked Meal

Yep, another one on the cheap.

Dinner. $6.10 for 6 servings

6 Cube steaks (egged and floured) $4.00 on clearance a little while ago.
mashed potatoes (real ones this time. I was trying to recreate the new Ore Ida Steam n' Mash a success) $2.00
White gravy (just flour, milk, salt and pepper) $.50
Corn (2 cans on sale this week) $.60

You can either cook the steaks in the oven or fried in a skillet with oil. We like the oil plus they cook faster.



Fake Steam and Mash
6- medium potatoes
2- glad or ziplock steam bags

Cut the potatoes in small cubes. Divide between the 2 steam bags. Microwave on high for 15-20 minutes. Poor in a bowl and mash your way.

Garlic Potatoes- Add 2 cloves or 2 tsp of fresh chopped garlic to bag before steaming
